Parasitic Eye Cloud, Body Slime

Symptoms

  • Eyes develop a whitish haze and/or bulge from head

  • Hazy or slimy patches appear on the bodies of fish

  • Fish may scratch on objects and gravel

  • Fish will exhibit rapid breathing

  • Fins are clamped tight not displayed out

Organic treatment of fish

  1. Remove infected fish to a hospital tank with a double dose of Ark BioRite Replenisher (2 tablespoons per 10 gallons)

  2. Raise tank temperature 10 degrees but not over 90 degrees

  3. Treat with Organic Control as directed

  4. Extend treatment if needed

  5. If symptoms continue follow with medicinal treatment

Medicinal treatment of fish

  1. Remove infected fish to a hospital tank with a double dose of Ark BioRite Replenisher (2 tablespoons per 10 gallons)

  2. Raise tank temperature 10 degrees but not over 90 degrees

  3. Treat as directed with One-Shot Knockout

  4. If symptoms continue do 50% water change in a hospital tank and repeat treatment

    Original tank treatment

(If Infected Fish Were Moved to Hospital Tank)

  1. Do 60% water change another day for a total of three water changes

  2. Feed remaining fish Full Spectrum medicated food per instructions for 1 feeding cycle
