Fungal Infection

Symptoms

White patches resembling mold appear on the skin and fins of the endler. They stop eating, or they mouth food then spit it out. This is actually rare in well-maintained tanks; it is also very difficult to diagnose accurately as there are bacterial infections that look similar.

Organic treatment of fish

  1. Remove infected fish to hospital tank if possible

  2. Raise tank temperature 10 degrees(do not exceed 90 degrees)

  3. Treat with 2 tablespoons / 10 gallons Ark BioRite Replenisher

  4. Treat with Organic Control as directed

  5. Extend treatment if needed

  6. If symptoms continue follow with medicinal treatment

  7. Medicinal treatment of fish

  8. Remove infected fish to hospital tank if possible

  9. Raise tank temperature 10 degrees (do not exceed 90 degrees)

  10. Treat with 2 tablespoons / 10 gallons Ark BioRite Replenisher

  11. Treat with First Round as directed

  12. if symptoms continue it is a bacterial treatment as directed with One-Shot Knockout.

Original tank treatment

(if infected fish were moved to hospital tank)

  1. Do a 60% water change

  2. Gradually increase temperature 10 degrees (do not exceed 90 degrees)

  3. Treat with 1 tablespoons / 10 gallons Ark BioRite Replenisher as directed
